Banana Bread




INGREDIENTS:
( Serves - 4 to 5 )
  • All-purpose Flour (Maida) – 1+3/4 cups 
  • Banana                                   - 2 medium ripe
  • Baking Soda                          – 1 tsp
  • Yogurt                                   – 1/4 cup
  • Sugar                                     – 1.5 cup
  • Vanilla                                    -1 tsp
  • Walnuts                                 – 1/2 cup, chopped 
  • Salt                                          - 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil                           - 1/2 cup
  • Apple                                       - 1 large

PROCEDURE:


Egg Alternative : Apple Sauce


Apple Sauce:
  • Peel apple
  • Put it on stove with medium heat
  • Add little by little water and keep stirring
  • Takes about 5 mins to be done

  • Preheat Oven to 325 degrees F. 
  • Mix all dry ingredients:  All-purpose Flour, Baking Soda.
  • In another large mixing bowl, add Yogurt,  Sugar, Banana and Vanilla. Mix until sugar dissolves.
  • Add  apple sauce and mix. 
  • Add Flour to the wet ingredients and mix until a smooth batter is formed.
  • Add Walnuts, Oil and Butter. Mix well.
  • Lightly butter the bottoms and sides of  cake pans and dust with flour. 
  • Bake for about 1.5 hrs  at 325F.
  • Insert a toothpick to check if the inside of the cake is baked.
  • Sprinkle a few chopped walnut pieces over the top to garnish.
  • Remove from Oven and allow the cakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
