PROCEDURE:

  • Soak sabudana in water for about 5 to 6 hours
  • Drain the sabudana and mix with potato,  onion, chillie, jeera, chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and corriander leaves
  • Smash the contents well and the potato will start leaving water (no need to add extra water to bind this mixture)
  • Add little by little flour to bind the mixture as required
  • Finally we will get a thick consistency batter.
  • Heat the oil in a pan in medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, make small balls of the batter in hand and flatten it and fry it in the oil
  • Make sure not to overcrowd vadas in the oil
  • Fry it on both sides until they turn golden brown
  • Serve hot with tomato or corriander minty chutney
