Muruku


INGREDIENTS
( Serves - 2 for about 4 days :) )
  • Rice flour   - 5 small cup
  • Gram flour - 3/4 cup
  • Ghee         - 10 tea spoon
  • Chilli powder (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Jeera 
  • Water
  • Oil 



PROCEDURE
  • Mix Rice flour, gram flour, chilli powder, jeera and salt. 
  • Add little by little water till a dough is made 
  • Make sure the dough is not very hard or too watery. Should be little soft. 
  • Once the dough is ready, add ghee and knead it well to get it smooth
  • Heat the oil in a pan 
  • Take small portions of dough in the muruku maker and press it (or rotate) and get the muruku of desired size
  • Fry the muruku in oil (make sure to start frying once the oil is hot enough)
  • Keep the stove in medium heat so that the muruku doesn't turn dark
  • Enjoy with a cup of tea :)
  • Store in an airtight container and can be used for about 4 days.
